Volodymyr Ivaschenko was born in 1948 in Kyiv. In 1976 he graduated from the Faculty of International Relations and International Law of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko State University and in 1987 from the Special Faculty of Moscow Finance Institute (International Economic Relations). From 1978 he worked in the Ukrainian Republican branch office of the All-Union Copyright Agency, the Agency of the Bar Association for Foreign Affairs in the Ukrainian SSR, the Ukrainian self-supporting Foreign Trade Association at the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR. 1989 – 1991 – chief specialist of the Legal Department of the Administration of Affairs of the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR. 1991 – 2000 – Deputy Head, Head of the Legal Department, Deputy Head of the Legal Directorate, Head of the Legal Directorate of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Deputy Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. In 2000 he was appointed Head of the Directorate of cooperation with law enforcement bodies – Deputy Head of the Chief State and Legal Directorate of the Administration of the President of Ukraine. In March 2001 he was appointed Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine by the President of Ukraine. Decorated with Order of Merit, 3rd class, the Diploma of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Distinguished Lawyer of Ukraine. Volodymyr Ivaschenko took part in drafting the legislative acts, particularly the Laws of Ukraine “On the entrepreneurship”, “On banks and banking activities”, “On stocks and stock exchange”, “On international treaties of Ukraine”, “On the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine”, the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On the system of currency regulation and currency control”, the Customs Code of Ukraine and others. Volodymyr Ivaschenko terminated his authorities of a Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on September 7, 2007.
