OLEH PERVOMAISKYI

Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine

 

Oleh Pervomaiskyi was born on January 31, 1972 in Poltava.

After graduating from high school, he worked at various enterprises in Poltava, and served compulsory term in the army.

In 1994-1999 he studied at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, he graduated with honours in the field of jurisprudence. In 1999-2002 – postgraduate student at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University (specialty 12.00.03, civil law and civil process, family law, international private law).

2000 - 2006 – junior and senior researcher at the Scientific Research Institute of State Construction and Local Self-Government of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine (part-time). In 2002-2006 he was an assistant and associate professor of the Civil Law Department of the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.

2006 - 2008 - associate professor of the Department of Civil and Labour Law of the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman.

2008 - 2011 - seniour researcher at the Scientific Research Institute of Private Law and Entrepreneurship named after Academician F. Burchak of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine.

2011 - 2018 – Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (full time) and Seniour Researcher at the Scientific Research Institute of Private Law and Entrepreneurship named after Academician F. Burchak of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine (part-time).

Since 2011 – member of the All-Ukrainian public organisation “Association of civil law experts of Ukraine”.

2015-2016 – member of the Ad-hoc Special Commission for the Review of Judges of General Jurisdiction.

2016-2017 – Expert of the project of the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine “Strengthening the Human Rights Protection of Internally Displaced Persons in Ukraine”.

On September 20, 2018, by the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, pursuant to the results of the competition, he was appointed a Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine. He took the oath of a Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on September 24, 2018.

Doctor of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor.

He is the author of more than 200 research and research and practical publications, including 15 monographs (2 as a sole author and 13 collective), 12-volume commentary to the Civil Code of Ukraine.
