Hearings of the Court’s Second Senate Were Held

10 March, the Second Senate of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine at the public part of the plenary session in the form of the written proceedings considered the case upon the constitutional complaint of the Joint Stock Company “The State Savings Bank of Ukraine” on the compliance of the rule of the first sentence of Article 1050.1 of the Civil Code of Ukraine to the Constitution of Ukraine. The Court examined the case files and proceeded to the in-camera part for a decision. The consideration of the case will be continued at a next plenary session.

The Second Senate, at its session, continued to consider the case on initiating the constitutional proceedings in the case upon the constitutional complaint of Serhii Polischuk on the constitutionality of the provisions of clause 4 of Article 16-3 of the Law of Ukraine „On Social and Legal Protection of the Military Servicemen and their Family Members“. Upon the results of consideration, the Ruling was made on initiating the constitutional proceedings in this case.

The same day, a hearing of the First Board of Judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine was held. The Board considered the issue on initiating the constitutional proceedings in the case upon the constitutional complaint of Veronika Holembievska on conformity of a specific provision of Article 424.2 of the Code of Criminal Proceedings of Ukraine to the Constitution of Ukraine. The examination of this matter will be continued at a next session of the Board.
