AGE and NABU signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

On December 8, 2023, the Advisory Group of Experts and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to facilitate the evaluation of candidates for the positions of judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.

The AGE Chairman Ales Zalar thanked NABU Director Semyon Krivonos for supporting the activities of the Advisory Group of Experts and noted: "Active and fruitful cooperation with NABU and other specialized bodies and institutions will allow the Advisory Group of Experts to have a complete database of information about candidates, to thoroughly check them and thus hand over to the appointing agencies only virtuous and professional candidates."

The AGE Secretary Yaroslav Romanyuk also emphasized that the Bureau may possess the information necessary for the work of the AGE, and close cooperation with NABU will allow to increase and strengthen the trust both in the competition itself and in general in the future new composition of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.

In his turn, NABU Director Semyon Krivonos expressed his support for the AGE and hope that cooperation with NABU will allow the Advisory Group of Experts to better fulfill the tasks it faces.

The memorandum with NABU, in particular, provides for the Advisory Group of experts to receive information data that is necessary for the performance of functions provided for by the Law of Ukraine "On the Constitutional Court of Ukraine".

We would also like to remind you that on December 7, 2023, the Advisory Group of Experts and the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to consolidate efforts in the field of corruption prevention, the formation of an honest and highly professional corps of judges, in particular judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.
