Oleksandr KASMININ

Former Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine

 

Oleksandr Kasminin was born in 1966 in Kumy, Karlivskyi district, Poltava region.

He began his career in 1983 as a metalworker, driver at Lanivskyi sugar mill. He served compulsory military service.

After graduating from Kharkiv Law Institute named after F.E. Dzerzhynskyi in 1990, he worked as an assistant prosecutor trainee, assistant prosecutor at Semenivskyi district prosecutor’s office, Poltava region, investigator at Dykankivskyi district prosecutor’s office, Poltava region.

1993–1999 – judge of Dykankivskyi district court.

1999–2006 – judge of Poltava region court of appeal.

2006–2011 – Deputy Chairman of Poltava region court of appeal.

In March 2011 at the session of the High Council of Justice he was appointed Chairman of Poltava region court of appeal.

On September 17, 2013 Mr. Kasminin was appointed Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine by the President of Ukraine. He took the oath of a judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on September 21, 2013.

Candidate of Legal Sciences. Distinguished Lawyer of Ukraine.

Mr. Kasminin terminated his authorities of the Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on September 19, 2022 in view of termination of his tenure.
