Natalia Shaptala

Former Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine

 

Natalia Shaptala was born on April 18, 1959 in Donetsk.

She started to work in 1976 as an electrical controller, then inspector at the personnel department, and a statistician at various Donetsk enterprises.

In 1987 she graduated from the Law Faculty of Altai State University.

1985 – 1987 - legal consultant at Donetsk metallurgical plant named after V.I.Lenin.

In 1987 – 1989 she was an intern at the prosecutor's office, assistant to the prosecutor in Leninskyi district in Donetsk.

1990 - 1996 – instructor at Leninskyi Party District Committee, assistant to the prosecutor of Donetsk, seniour assistant to the prosecutor of Donetsk region.

1996–2006 – judge of Leninskyi district court in Donetsk, judge of Donetsk regional court of appeal.

2006–2010 – judge, first Deputy Chairman of Donetsk administrative court of appeal.

In September 2010 she was appointed Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine by the X Congress of Judges of Ukraine. She took the oath of a judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on September 21, 2010.
