Mykhailo Zaporozhets

Former Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine

 

Mykhailo Zaporozhets was born on March 31, 1968 in Sloboda village, Kaharlytskyi district, Kyiv region, in a peasant’s family.

He began his labour activity in 1985 as a combine operator assistant. He served compulsory military service.

In 1990 he graduated from Rzhyschiv Building and Construction College.

After graduation from Yaroslav Mudry National Law Academy of Ukraine in Kharkiv in 1995, he worked as a senior investigation officer at the prosecutor's office at Stanychno-Luhanskyi district in Luhansk region.

1997 – 2000 – judge at Rovenkivskyi city court in Luhansk region.

2000 – 2002 – judge at Kamianobridskyi district court in Luhansk.

2002 – 2010 – judge at Luhansk regional court of appeal.

In September 2010 he was appointed Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine by the X Congress of Judges of Ukraine. He took the oath of a judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on September 21, 2010.

Master of Public Administration. Candidate of Legal Sciences.

Author of a number of publications on administrative and legal support of courts’ activities in Ukraine and judicial proceedings.
