Liudmyla Malynnykova

 

Liudmyla Malynnykova was born in 1939 in Kyiv in a worker’s family.

She started her working career at “Ukrcable” plant as a braiding worker.

She graduated from the Law Faculty of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko State University (at present Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University) in 1965.

She started her professional career in 1958 as a Secretary of the Judicial Collegium on civil cases of the Supreme Court of Ukraine. She was clerk of the court, then officer of the law of the Podilskyi People’s district court in Kyiv, chief consultant of the Judicial Collegium on civil cases of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

In 1975 she was elected People’s Judge of Leningradskyy People’s district  court in Kyiv.

In 1978 she was elected judge of Kyiv city court.

In 1984 she was elected judge of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

In September 1996 at the Third (extraordinary) Congress of Judges of Ukraine she was appointed Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.

Distinguished Lawyer of Ukraine.

Decorated with the Order of Honour (1982) and the Order of Princess Olga, 3rd class (1999).

She was elected Member of the Presidium of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, Member of the Scientific and Advisory Council of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, Member of the Higher Qualifications Commission of Judges of Ukraine and the Higher Qualifications Commission of Advocates under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. She was a member of expert group on drafting international agreements on legal relations and legal assistance in civil, marriage and family and criminal cases and working group on drafting Code of Civil Procedure.

Liudmyla Malynnykova’s authorities of a Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine were terminated on December 3, 2004.
