GALYNA YUROVSKA 

Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine

 

Judge Yurovska was born on November 30, 1961 in Khmelnytskyi.

She started working in the Khmelnytskyi Regional Court as an archivist, typist, court secretary (1979-1981).

In 1985, she graduated from the Kharkiv Law Institute (now known as the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University).

After completing her studies, she worked as a notary, a senior notary consultant in the Justice Division of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Executive Committee.

From 1988, she was an intern, lawyer for the Khmelnytskyi City Legal Clinic.

In 1993 Halyna Yurovska was elected a Judge of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Court by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and in 1999 - a Judge of the Kyiv Regional Court.

In 2011-2016 she worked as a Judge of the High Specialised Court of Ukraine for Civil and Criminal Cases.

In 2016-2019 she was Deputy Head of the Teachers (Coaches) Training Division of the National School of Judges of Ukraine.

On October 29, 2019, upon the results of the competition Halyna Yurovska was appointed Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine by the XVII Extraordinary Congress of Judges of Ukraine. She took the oath of a Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on November 5, 2019.
