A training center will be established at the Constitutional Court of Ukraine
02.04.2020
Within the framework of the joint project “Support for the Protection of Human Rights through Improving Access to Constitutional Justice” and with the financial support of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine handed over the equipment to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in order to establish a training and telecommunication center.
In the light of recent developments related to the imposition of quarantine, the establishment of a training center at the Court is essential and urgent. The transmitted equipment will allow to organise various events with the application of motorised and multimedia screens, an automatic rotary camera, laptops and wireless Internet connection. In particular: to provide training for the staff of the Secretariat of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on any issues, including the functioning of the constitutional complaint institute; to hold expert discussions on topical issues with the participation of judges, lawyers, scholars and human rights advocates via video conferencing; to organise the work of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine through Skype conferences. In addition, it will further involve experts both at the national and international levels in discussions.
The Constitutional Court of Ukraine expresses its gratitude to the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine for support and fruitful long-lasting cooperation.
