Today, on 30 January 2025, representatives of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine participated in an online meeting of state bodies with the participation of experts from the project of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and Oleksandr Ilkov, Director General of the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
The event was devoted to providing advisory assistance to the Ukrainian side in preparing draft negotiating positions on the negotiating chapters of Cluster 1 “Fundamentals of the EU accession process”.
The meeting was attended by Acting Chairman of the Court Oleksandr Petryshyn and members of the Court's Secretariat Mykola Grytsenko, Deputy Head of the Legal Department, Oksana Zhytnyk, Deputy Head of the Legal Department, Head of the Comparative Legal Analysis Division, and Olha Pohrebniak, Deputy Head of the Legal Department, Head of the Division for Processing Constitutional Submissions and Constitutional Petitions.
The event included a presentation on the principles and procedures for developing negotiating positions, practical recommendations and answers to questions on the methodology for preparing Ukraine's negotiation process for accession to the European Union. The discussion contributed to deepening interagency coordination and increasing the efficiency of developing negotiating positions, which is an important step on the path of Ukraine's European integration.
