October 21. The Court Agenda (approved). Plenary Sessions of the Grand Chamber of the Court: Deliberation of Cases upon Constitutional Petitions

On Thursday, October 21, the Grand Chamber of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine at the in-camera parts of the plenary sessions proceeded with deliberation of cases:

- upon the constitutional petition of 47 People's Deputies of Ukraine on compliance of specific provisions of Article 6 of the Law of Ukraine “On Television and Radio Broadcasting”, Articles 15, 15-1, 26 of the Law of Ukraine “On Cinematography” with the Constitution of Ukraine;

- upon the constitutional petition of 46 People's Deputies of Ukraine regarding the official interpretation of the provisions of the first sentence of part one of Article 13, part one of Article 14 of the Constitution of Ukraine.

The Court will proceed with deliberation of above cases at one of the next plenary sessions.

Based on the results of deliberation of the case upon the constitutional petition of 45 People's Deputies of Ukraine on compliance of the provisions of paragraph 6 of part two of Article 42 of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” with the Constitution of Ukraine the Grand Chamber of the Court ruled to terminate the constitutional proceedings.

At the session the Grand Chamber considered the issue of initiating constitutional proceedings in the case upon the constitutional petition of 50 People's Deputies of Ukraine on the compliance of the Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Persecution and Punishment of Persons in Relation to Events During Peaceful Assemblies and Recognition of Certain Laws of Ukraine as Repealed” with the Constitution of Ukraine. Deliberation of this issue will be proceeded at one of the next sessions.
