On 2 April 2026, a meeting was held at the Constitutional Court of Ukraine with representatives of the Ukraine2EU project, attended by judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Viktor Gorodovenko, Oleksandr Vodiannikov, Serhiy Riznyk, representatives of the Secretariat of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Senior Project Advisor Gabija Grigaitė-Daugirdė and Project Expert Vladislav Petrovskyi.

The project aims to assist Ukraine in preparing for membership of the European Union by providing strategic and expert support to the state authorities responsible for implementing the necessary reforms.

During the meeting, participants discussed current progress and challenges in implementing the Rule of Law Roadmap, as one of the key elements of the negotiation process on the path to European Union membership.

Particular attention was focused on the measures being taken by the Constitutional Court of Ukraine to effectively implement the provisions of the Rule of Law Roadmap, in particular by improving internal procedures, optimising the timeframes for case consideration and decision-making processes, and implementing international ethical standards and integrity mechanisms.

The participants emphasised the importance of continuing a substantive dialogue on expert support for the implementation of comprehensive reforms necessary to bring the national legal system into line with European standards, finding effective ways to address pressing challenges, and strengthening the country’s resilience in the context of war and post-war recovery.
