January 19. The Court Agenda (Approved). The First and Second Senates of the Court Deliberated Cases upon the Constitutional Complaints of the Citizens. Rulings Adopted by the Board of Judges

On Wednesday, January 19, the First Senate deliberated the case upon the constitutional complaint of Volodymyr Zhydenko regarding the compliance of certain provisions of Article 2 of the Law of Ukraine “On Measures to Ensure the Legislative Reform of the Pension System“ with the Constitution of Ukraine. Further deliberation of the case will take place at one of the forthcoming plenary sessions of the First Senate.

The plenary sessions of the Second Senate deliberated the following cases:

- upon the constitutional complaint of Serhii Polishchuk regarding the compliance of the provisions of paragraph 4 of Article 16-3 of the Law of Ukraine “On Social and Legal Protection of Servicemen and Members of their Families” with the Constitution of Ukraine;

- upon the constitutional complaint of Oleksandr Krotiuk regarding the compliance of the provisions of paragraph 4 of Article 284.1 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine with the Constitution of Ukraine.

The Second Senate will proceed with deliberation of these cases.

On the same day, at the session the First Board of Judges of the Second Senate of the Court adopted the Ruling on refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings (final) in the case upon the constitutional complaint of Vasyl Mazur on the constitutionality of Article 90, subparagraph 1 of paragraph 2 of Section XI “Final and Transitional Provisions” of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service” of December 10, 2015 No. 889–VIII and the Ruling on initiating constitutional proceedings in the case upon the constitutional complaint of Valerii Burbak regarding the constitutionality of the provisions of Article 142.3 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and Status of Judges” of June 2, 2016 No. 1402–VIII.
