February 17. The Court’s Agenda (Approved). The Grand Chamber Deliberated the Cases on Constitutional Petitions and Adopted 76 Rulings. 3 Rulings Were Adopted by the Board of Judges

Thursday, 17 February, the Grand Chamber of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine at the in-camera parts of the plenary sessions proceeded with deliberation of the following cases:

- on the constitutional petition of 54 People’s Deputies of Ukraine regarding the constitutionality of certain provisions of the laws of Ukraine „On Verification and Monitoring of State Payments", „On Banks and Banking Activities", „On the State Border Service of Ukraine", „On the Protection of Personal Data", „On the State Registration of Acts of Civil Status”, „On the Collection and Accounting of a Single Contribution for Compulsory State Social Insurance”, “On the State Register of Voters”, “On Information”, “On Employment”, “On the Unified State Demographic Register and Documents, which Confirm Citizenship of Ukraine, Certify a Person or his/her Special Status”, “On State Registration of Rights to Real Estate and Their Encumbrances”, „On State Registration of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Formations”;

- on the constitutional petition of 50 People’s Deputies of Ukraine regarding the constitutionality of the Law of Ukraine „On Amendments to Article 80 of the Constitution of Ukraine (on the Immunity of People's Deputies of Ukraine)".

Further deliberation of cases will take place at forthcoming plenary sessions.

The Grand Chamber adopted 76 rulings on the extension until 22 March 2022 of the term for the rulings adopted by the Boards of Judges of the Court on initiating or refusing to initiate constitutional proceedings in cases based on the constitutional petitions of the Supreme Court, 99 People's Deputies of Ukraine, constitutional appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and constitutional complaints.

The same day, a session of the Second Board of Judges of the Second Senate was held to consider the issue of initiation OF constitutional proceedings in cases upon constitutional complaints.

Based on the results of deliberation, 3 Rulings on the initiating constitutional proceedings were adopted:

- upon the constitutional complaint of Antonina Yefimenko on the constitutionality of separate provision of Article 2.1 of the Law of Ukraine “On Measures to Legislatively Reform the Pension System” of July 8, 2011 № 3668–VI;

- upon the constitutional complaint of Olha Didenko on the constitutionality of the provisions of Article 142.3 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges” of June 2, 2016 № 1402–VІІІ;

- upon the constitutional complaint of Iryna Halchenko on the constitutionality of a separate provision of Article 142.3 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges” of June 2, 2016 № 1402–VІІІ.

The Second Board of Judges of the Second Senate will continue the deliberation of the issue regarding the initiating constitutional proceedings upon the constitutional complaint of the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine on the constitutionality of the provisions of the second and third sentences of paragraph 20.3 of Article 20 of the Law of Ukraine "On Compulsory Insurance Civil Liability of Owners of Ground Transport Vehicles".
