During July, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine held 40 sessions and adopted 70 acts of the Court

During July 2021, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine held 40 sessions: 17 in-camera parts of plenary sessions and 7 sessions of the Grand Chamber of the Court; 1 session of the Court; 7 in-camera parts of plenary sessions and 1 session of the Second Senate of the Court; 7 sessions of the boards of judges of the First and Second Senates of the Court.

At these sessions, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine adopted 70 acts of the Court. The Grand Chamber delivered 2 decisions in cases upon constitutional petitions of People's Deputies of Ukraine and adopted 42 rulings, 41 of them - on extension of the term of ruling by the boards of judges of the Constitutional Court on initiating or refusing to initiate constitutional proceedings. The Court also adopted 1 ruling on amendments to the staff of the Standing Committee on Rules and Ethics of the Court.

During this period, the Second Senate of the Court delivered 3 decisions in cases upon constitutional complaints of citizens. The boards of judges adopted 12 rulings refusing to initiate constitutional proceedings in cases upon constitutional complaints (unanimously).

Within a month, the Court received 35 constitutional complaints. According to the results of the preliminary examination, 17 constitutional complaints were distributed to the judges-rapporteurs. 18 complaints that did not meet the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On the Constitutional Court of Ukraine" were returned to the subjects of the right to constitutional complaints. The Secretariat also prepared and sent 73 responses to requests for public information and citizens' appeals.
