Today, June 7, a meeting of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov with the President of the Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio took place.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, member of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) Serhiy Holovaty.
As reported at the official website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, „The parties discussed issues related to judicial reform, improvement of anti-corruption legislation, as well as legislative regulation of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine“.
During the discussion on the improvement of legislative regulation of the activities of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Serhiy Holovaty stressed the decisive role of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the legislative ensuring the transparent and open competitions for the offices of the judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine based on new legislative grounds, i.e. with involvement of international experts.
