December 23. The Court’s Agenda (Approved). The Grand Chamber Considered the Cases upon Constitutional Petitions. Rulings Adopted by the Boards of Judges

Thursday, 23 December, the Grand Chamber, at the plenary sessions, considered the following cases:

- upon the constitutional petition of 53 People’s Deputies of Ukraine on conformity of the Law of Ukraine “On Amending the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Preventing Abuse of Rights by People’s Deputies of Ukraine in the Course of Legislative Procedure“ to the Constitution of Ukraine;

- upon the constitutional petition of the Ukrainian Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights on conformity of Article 90, sub-clause 1 of paragraph 2 of Section XI “Final and Transitional Provisions“ of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service“ of 10 December 2015 No. 889-VIIІ, Article 21.7 of the Law of Ukraine “On Service in the Bodies of Local Self-Government“ to the Constitution of Ukraine.

Further consideration of these cases will take place at forthcoming plenary session of the Grand Chamber.

The same day, the First Board of Judges of the Second Senate, at its session, adopted the rulings (final) on refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings in the cases upon the constitutional complaint of Yevheniia Strashkeva on conformity of the provisions of Article 37.1 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Mortgage“ to the Constitution of Ukraine and upon the constitutional complaint of Oleksandr Hirenko on conformity of the provisions of Articles 293.2, 294, the first sentence of Article 383.6 of the Code of Administrative Proceedings of Ukraine to the Constitution of Ukraine.

Furthermore, the Second Board of Judges of the Second Senate at its session adopted a Ruling on refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings in the case upon the constitutional complaint of Oleh Ananchenko on conformity of Articles 10.4, 10.6, 260.1.2, 260.1.3, 353.1.19, 388, 403, 404 of the Code of Civil Procedure, Article 6.3 of the Law of Ukraine “On Access to Judicial Decisions“ of 22 December 2005 No. 3262–IV to the Constitution of Ukraine.
