On Thursday, 16 December, at the plenary session the Grand Chamber deliberated the following cases:
- upon the constitutional petition of the Supreme Court of Ukraine on the compliance of the Law of Ukraine “On the Deposit Guarantee System of Individuals” with the Constitution of Ukraine;
- upon the constitutional complaint of Ihor Samsin regarding the compliance of the provisions of the second sentence of Article 54.1 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges” with the Constitution of Ukraine;
- upon the constitutional petition of 47 People's Deputies of Ukraine on compliance of certain provisions of Article 6 of the Law of Ukraine “On Television and Radio Broadcasting”, Articles 15, 15-1, 26 of the Law of Ukraine “On Cinematography” with the Constitution of Ukraine;
- upon the constitutional petition of 59 People's Deputies of Ukraine on compliance of the Law of Ukraine “On State Financial Guarantees of Medical Services to the Population” with the Constitution of Ukraine and upon the constitutional petition of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights on compliance of the provisions of Article 4.6 of the Law of Ukraine “On State Financial Guarantees of Medical Services to the Population” with the Constitution of Ukraine. Further deliberation of these cases will take place at the next plenary sessions of the Grand Chamber of the Court.
On the same day, the Third Board of Judges of the First Senate of the Court adopted two rulings (final) refusing to initiate constitutional proceedings in cases upon the constitutional complaints of Volodymyr Poliakov regarding the constitutionality of Article 25.1, paragraph 4-3 of Section XV “Final Provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance” and Oleksandr Yaremenko on the compliance of the provisions of paragraph 3-1 of Article 20.7 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Accounting Chamber” with the Constitution of Ukraine.
