The Court adjourned the plenary session on the consideration of the case upon the constitutional complaint of Eduard Pukanych

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the Second Senate proceeded with consideration of the case upon the constitutional complaint of Eduard Pukanych in the public part of the plenary session in the form of written proceedings. The applicant appeals against the provisions of Article 55.1, 55.5,  309.3 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The judge-rapporteur in the case is Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Vasyl Lemak.

During the plenary session, the chairperson of the plenary session Serhiy Holovaty informed that on April 10, the Permanent Representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Maksym Dyrdin lodged two petitions with the Constitutional Court of Ukraine to alter the form of constitutional proceedings from written to oral and to involve other participants in the constitutional proceedings in the consideration of this case.

Therefore, the Court adjourned the consideration of this case to examine both petitions.
