Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Yurii Baulin swore in the newly elected President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko

 

            On June 7, 2014 according to Article 104 of the Constitution of Ukraine Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Yurii Baulin took part in the solemn session of the Verkhovna Rada ofUkraine on the occasion of the inauguration of the newly elected President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

         In the presence of People's Deputies of Ukraine and foreign guests the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine swore in the newly elected Head of the State to the Ukrainian people. PetroPoroshenko delivered the oath with his hand on the Constitution of Ukraine and Peresopnytske Gospel.

         Furtheron, Yurii Baulin handed in to Petro Poroshenko the symbols of presidential authority - Sign,Seal and Mace of the President of Ukraine and congratulated the Head of the State on his assumption of the office.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, former Presidents of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk,Leonid Kuchma and Viktor Yuschenko, Presidents of Albania, Austria, Belarus, Georgia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Germany, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, heads of Government of Kazakhstan, Canada, Hungary, the leaders of the OSCE, Council of Europe,representatives of the diplomatic corps, the clergy and the public.
