Today, 5 October, during the in-camera parts of the plenary session of the Grand Chamber the cases upon the constitutional petitions were considered.
The judges continued consideration of cases upon the constitutional petition of 50 People’s Deputies of Ukraine on conformity of the Law of Ukraine “On Introducing Amendments to Article 80 of the Constitution of Ukraine (on inviolability of People’s Deputies of Ukraine)“ to the Constitution of Ukraine and upon the constitutional petition of the Supreme Court of Ukraine on conformity of the Law of Ukraine “On the System of Guaranteeing the Deposits of Individuals“ to the Constitution of Ukraine.
The Court will continue consideration of these cases at one of the future sessions.
Apart from that, the Second Board of Judges adopted 3 rulings (final) on refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings in the cases:
· upon the constitutional complaint of Viktor Haidamaka on conformity of Article 59.3 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Status and Social Protection of Citizens Affected by Chornobyl Catastrophe“, Articles 11 and 21 of the Law of Ukraine “On Pension Provision of Individuals Dismissed from Military Service and Some Other Persons“ to the Constitution of Ukraine;
· upon the constitutional complaint of Serhiy Kupinskyi on conformity of the provisions of Articles 81.1, 82.3.1, 82.4 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, paragraphs one and two of Article 152, and Article 154.3 of the Criminal Executive Code of Ukraine to the Constitution of Ukraine;
· upon the constitutional complaint of Vitalii Solovichenko on conformity of the rules of Articles 25.2, 38.6, 130.1, specific word combinations of Article 252, Articles 266.1 and 266.2 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences, the Law of Ukraine “On Amending Some Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Increasing Responsibility for Specific Offences in the Sphere of Traffic Security“ of 16 February 2021 No.1231-ІХ, clause 2.5 of the Traffic Rules, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 10 October 2001 No. 1306 as amended to the Constitution of Ukraine.
