27 September. The Grand Chamber Considered the Case on the Constitutionality of Specific Provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On Government Cleansing”

Tuesday, 27 September, the Grand Chamber, at its plenary session, continued the examination of the case upon the constitutional petition of the Supreme Court of Ukraine on conformity of the provisions of clause 6 of paragraph one, clauses 2 and 13 of paragraph two, paragraph three of Article 3 of the Law of Ukraine “On Government Cleansing” of 16 September 2014 No. 1682–VII to the Constitution of Ukraine, of 47 People’s Deputies of Ukraine on conformity of the provisions of paragraphs three and six of Article 1, paragraphs one, two, three, four and eight of Article 3, clause 2 of paragraph 5 of Article 5, clause 2 of the Final and Transitional Provisions of this Law to the Constitution of Ukraine, of the Supreme Court of Ukraine on conformity of the provision of paragraph three of Article 1, clauses 7, 8 and 9 of paragraph one, clause 4 of paragraph two of Article 3, clause 2 of the Final and Transitional Provisions of this Law to the Constitution of Ukraine and the Supreme Court of Ukraine on conformity of paragraph three of Article 4 of this Law to the Constitution of Ukraine.

Deliberation of this case will be continued at a forthcoming plenary session.
