25 April. The Grand Chamber Deliberated the Cases upon the Constitutional Petitions

On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at the in-camera part of the plenary session, the Grand Chamber continued consideration of the cases upon the constitutional petitions of:

- 51 People's Deputies of Ukraine regarding the official interpretation of the provisions of Article 7, Article 20.7, paragraphs 12, 15, 16 of Article 92.1, parts one to five of Article 118, Article 133.2, parts one to four of Article 140, parts two, four of Article 141 of the Constitution of Ukraine;

- the Supreme Court of Ukraine on the constitutionality of the Law of Ukraine "On the Guarantees System of Deposits of Individuals";

- 46 People's Deputies of Ukraine regarding the official interpretation of the provisions of the first sentence of Article 13.1 and Article 14.1 of the Constitution of Ukraine.

The Court will continue consideration of these cases at one of its next plenary sessions.

On the same day, a session of the First Board of Judges of the Second Senate was held, at which the judges issued a Ruling (final) on refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings in the case upon the constitutional complaint of Yevhen Ulybin and Dmytro Mykhailenko on the constitutionality of paragraph 4 of Section I of the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the Status and Social Protection of Citizens Affected by the Chernobyl Disaster" regarding the increase in the level of pensions for certain categories of persons" of June 29, 2021 No. 1584-IX, Article 59.3 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Status and Social Protection of Citizens Affected by the Chernobyl Disaster" of February 28, 1991 No. 796-XII.
