18 April. The Court Considered Cases upon the Constitutional Petitions

On Tuesday, April 18, 2023, the Grand Chamber, at the in-camera part of the plenary session, continued consideration of cases upon the constitutional petitions of:

- the Supreme Court on the constitutionality of paragraph 3 of Section III "Final and Transitional Provisions" of the Law of Ukraine "On the Repeal of the Law of Ukraine "On the List of State-Owned Property Not Subject to Privatisation";

- 142 People's Deputies of Ukraine regarding the official interpretation of a certain provision of the fourth paragraph of the preamble to the Constitution of Ukraine.

The Court will continue consideration of these cases at one of its next plenary sessions.

The Grand Chamber postponed consideration of the case upon the constitutional petition of the Supreme Court regarding the constitutionality of the thirteenth paragraph of clause 23-1 of Section III "Final and Transitional Provisions" of the Law of Ukraine "On the High Council of Justice" dated December 21, 2016 No. 1798-VIII, paragraphs one, six, eleven of clause 4 of Section II "Final and Transitional Provisions" of the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Some Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding the Procedure for Election (Appointment) to the Positions of Members of the High Council of Justice and Activities of Disciplinary Inspectors of the High Council of Justice" dated July 14, 2021 No.1635-IX. It will be deliberated at one of the forthcoming plenary sessions.
