15 July. The Court adopted a Decision in the Case on the Minimum Salary. The Consideration of the Case on the Constitutionality of Specific Provisions of the Electoral Code of Ukraine and other Legislative Acts Will Be Continued

On Thursday, 15 July, the Grand Chamber of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine at the plenary session adopted the Decision No. 2-r/2021 in the case upon the constitutional petition of 47 People's Deputies of Ukraine on the inconsistency with the Constitution of Ukraine (constitutionality) of the provisions of Article 6.6 of the Law of Ukraine "On Remuneration of Labour" of March 24, 1995 No. 108/95–VR as amended by the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to some Legislative Acts of Ukraine" of December 6, 2016 No. 1774–VIII, Article 96.6 of the Labour Code of Ukraine as amended by the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to some Legislative Acts of Ukraine" of December 6, 2016 No. 1774–VIII, No. 1774–VIII (on minimum salary (tariff rate)).

The Decision will be promulgated on the Court’s official website on 16 July.

 The Grand Chamber at the in-camera part of the plenary sessions proceeded with consideration of the following cases:

- upon the constitutional petition of 45 People's Deputies of Ukraine on conformity to the Constitution of Ukraine (constitutionality) of Articles 133-191, clause 2.2 of Section ХХХХІІ „Final and Transitional Provisions“ of the Electoral Code of Ukraine;

- upon the constitutional petition of 47 People's Deputies of Ukraine on conformity to the Constitution of Ukraine (constitutionality) of specific provisions of the Economic Code of Ukraine, the Laws of Ukraine „On the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine „On Pipeline Transport“, „On Management of Objects of State Property“.

Court will continue to examine the above cases at one of its future sessions.

The same day, according to the agenda, the sessions of the Grand Chamber on consideration of issue on extension of the term of providing a ruling by the boards of judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on initiating of refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings in cases upon constitutional complaints and constitutional petitions were held.

Upon the results of the hearings 14 rulings on extension of the term of providing a ruling by the First Board of Judges of the First Senate, Second Board of Judges of the First Senate, Third Board of Judges of the First Senate, Second Board of Judges of the Second Senate, Third Board of Judges of the Second Senate on initiating or refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings in the cases upon the constitutional complaints of Serhiy Vaschenko, Serhiy Trutniev, Nataliia Linenko, Serhiy Klopkov, Andrii Yakovenko, Andrii Maschenko, Vadym Samotei, Kostiantyn Nosik, Roman Kovaliov, Rostyslav Krymus, Maksym Mezhebytskyi, Liudmyla Volodko, Oleh Ananchenko and the constitutional petition of 49 People’s Deputies of Ukraine.
