The Court Adjourned the Case on the Constitutionality of Certain Provisions
of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine

 

The case upon constitutional complaints of Aliona Zabara, Nadiya Kopylova, Gagik Martirosian regarding the compliance of the provisions of Article 14-2.1, Article 279-1.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine with the Constitution of Ukraine was adjourned.

Today, May 27, at the public part of the plenary session, the Permanent Representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Olha Sovhyria filed a motion to change the form of constitutional proceedings in this case from written to oral and the involvement of a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the consideration of this case as an involved participant in the constitutional proceedings. The motion was supported by the Representative of the President of Ukraine to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Fedir Venislavskyi, as well as by Vyacheslav Kachmar, the authorized representative of the subject of the right to a constitutional complaint Nadiya Kopylova.

According to the results of the discussion, the Grand Chamber of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine granted the motion.

The consideration of this case was adjourned.

Consideration of the case upon the constitutional complaints of Aliona Zabara, Nadiya Kopylova, Gagik Martirosian at the public part will take place at one of the further plenary sessions.
