On 25 March this year, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine on Certain Issues of Administrative Liability for Violation of Customs Rules” pursuant to the decisions of the Constitutional Court.

By adopting this law, the Parliament introduced more flexible mechanisms for bringing persons to administrative liability for violation of customs rules, taking into account the constitutional principle of individualisation of legal liability.
