On 15 July 2024, the constitutional petition of the Supreme Court on regarding reimbursement of tuition fees in higher education institutions with specific training conditions, that provide police training was lodged with the Constitutional Court, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 261 dated 12 April 2017 (to the extent that it provides that reimbursement is made in the amount of expenses related to financial support).

This Procedure defines the mechanism of reimbursement by persons who studied full-time under the state order in higher education institutions with specific conditions of study that provide police training, of expenses related to their maintenance in such institutions, on appropriate grounds.

Thus, paragraphs 3.1, 3.3 of Procedure No. 261 stipulate that reimbursement is made in the amount of expenses related to cash, food, clothing, and medical support.

Thus, the Supreme Court requests to verify the compliance of paragraph 3 of this Procedure with the provisions of Articles 43.1 and 43.4 of the Constitution of Ukraine.

The constitutional petition has been distributed to the judge-rapporteur.
