Visit of the delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine

On September 2-5, 2019 working meetings with the delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine were held to study and evaluate the state of the existing IT systems of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine as well as to develop IT project for possible further modernisation of the Court's IT complex.

Director of the IT Division of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea Yi Young-Yil and his deputies Park Minsoo and Kim Beyeong Seop represented the delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea. Head of the Secretariat of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Yaroslav Vasylkevych, First Deputy Head of the Court’s Secretariat Larysa Biriuk, deputies of the Head of the Court’s Secretariat Valerii Aloshyn and Yevhen Burlai as well as employees of the structural divisions of the Secretariat of the Court represented the Ukrainian side.

During the meetings, the parties discussed the issues concerning conditions and possible areas of the IT systems of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine development. Within the framework of the meetings, representatives of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine informed the guests on current information and communication system of the Court, in particular, the technical support of the courtrooms, as well as the introduction of computer systems and applications.

Representatives of the delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea reported on the electronic system of document approval established in the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea. Director of the IT Division of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of the Republic of Korea highlighted that several interconnected systems, including the document filing system, the document verification system and the electronic archive operate in the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea.

The parties outlined priorities for improving the information technology and discussed ways to further modernise the information and communication system of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.

Head of the Secretariat of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Yaroslav Vasylkevych thanked the representatives of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea for sharing their experience concerning usage of the latest information technologies, and expressed the hope for further fruitful cooperation.
