Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Serhii Vdovichenko participated in the XXI Yerevan International Conference
On October 20-22, 2016 Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Serhii Vdovichenko took part in the XXI International Conference organised in Yerevan (Republic of Armenia) by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia and the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission). Dedicated to "Тhе role and significance of "Rule of Law checklist", adopted at the 106th Plenary Session of the Venice Commission, in the process of conducting constitutional monitoring”; and "Тhе role of Constitutional Court in overcoming legal gaps and legal uncertainty".
The conference was attended by judges of the European Court of Human Rights, representatives of the CoE Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law, Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, chairpersons and judges of constitutional courts and high specialised courts of foreign countries, including Armenia, Croatia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Portugal, Ukraine, and academics of higher educational establishments.
The participants were welcomed by the Chairman of the 
Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia G. Harutyunyan, CoE Director General at the Directorate General Human Rights and Rule of Law (DG I) P. Boillat, Chair of the Scientific Council of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, Professor of the University of Oslo J. Helgesen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Armenia H.E. Bernhard Matthias Kiesler, Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia A.Tatoyan.
The event program included several working sessions to discuss important issues concerning the principle of the rule of law and its practical implementation in the post-Soviet countries.
Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Serhii Vdovichenko delivered a report on "The Doctrine of the Restoration of the Previous Wording of Rules of Laws in the Jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine".
Within the frame of the conference participants were also received by the President of the Republic of Armenia Serge Sargsyan.
